About Us

Who We Are

Trinity Is A Congregation that…
Makes the worship of God central to all that we do.
Nurtures all in Christian fellowship and community.
Encourages the witness of faith to be shared with others.
Reaches out to meet the needs of others.
Challenges us to be faithful in our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.
Grows us in faith through Scripture, Reason, Tradition and Experience.

BELIEFS: We have a Book of Discipline that provides guidance on how to operate and believe. We understand that we are disciples of Jesus Christ and we abide by the Apostles’ Creed which sums up the basis of our beliefs.

The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. AMEN.

United Methodist Church: www.umc.org
At Trinity, we are Christians who are excited to be part of the United Methodist Church. United Methodists are the second largest Protestant denomination in America. We trace our roots back to John Wesley (1703-1791), the founder of the Methodist movement, who famously said

“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”

We hold to the historic doctrines of the Christian faith. We are evangelical, but moderates rather than fundamentalists. We value the intellect and modern science, while at the same time looking to the Bible as the authoritative guide for faith and practice. United Methodists have a passionate faith with strong convictions, but we also recognize that the world is not always black and white. We are willing to ask questions, to wrestle with difficult issues, and to do so with grace and compassion.

United Methodists have been known for our emphasis on a personal faith, lived out in concrete ways in the world. We have historically valued well-informed and passionate preaching, worship that was lively, and small groups where people could grow in faith.

United Methodists have open hearts, open minds and open doors — through which we welcome anyone interested in learning more about the Christian faith.

STUDY – Growth In Discipleship
Growth in Discipleship is a personal, ongoing journey to become all that God intends a person to be. Discipleship is based on the following principles..
A disciple is a student! The Scriptures are our study manual
A disciple is assured of salvation by grace alone.
A disciple learns and comes to understand the principles of the Christian life.
A disciple obeys God’s laws and commands as presented in the Scriptures.
Disciples represent God in the world.
Disciples serve other people.
If you would like to embark on a journey toward Discipleship, Trinity is here to help, at your pace and in your own time.
